We LOVE doing detoxes. It is a habit that we feel is so important that we want to share with you. We do it with our Complex Green and Triple Green combined. The best thing about greens is that if you take it every day you are doing a daily regular detox without really thinking about it and you get to go about your busy-ness.
But sometimes you need to stop and re-set your body and do a deep cleanse particularly if you usually take in caffeine, alcohol, gluten, dairy and red meat in your diet, and you are feeling like you have overdone it a little. The best things about a detox break is that it:
- Helps clear out your digestive system,
- Reduce bloating,
- Build your immune system, and
- Gives your body some focused time to repair.
WHEN IS IT A GOOD TIME TO DO A GREEN DETOX?
You can do a detox at any time, however you have to get yourself mentally prepared. You have to want to do it for a reason, so that you have a purpose and focus on that to get you through it. Like it or not it is always disruptive to do a detox, however the Lean Green Detox is designed to be the kindest possible way to do it as you are not depriving your body of vital protein and vitamins and minerals. Some prolonged detoxes can result in damaging your muscle tone in an attempt to lose weight. We take it gently for prolonged results.
You can either do a detox when you feel prompted by feeling tired and pudgy, or you can do it on a regular basis, to keep your body in top shape before symptoms bother you. I put my detox in the diary monthly to keep myself doing the latter, and I feel that the results speak for themselves.
DETOXING IS TREATING YOURSELF WITH LOVE
It is important to make yourself feel treated by a detox, not like you are punishing yourself. I imagine great benefits before I do it, just to get my mind ready to take my body on the ‘detox-change-my-eating-habits’ kind of mindset. I eat healthy food anyway, so it’s not too great a push!
If you are feeling like making excuses not to do a detox, then this is telling you IT IS actually the perfect time for a cleanse. Don’t talk yourself out of it, but give yourself a few days to get there so you can plan it around your social and work events, and most importantly around your family eating. In our house we usually try to detox together so that we have company and support.
DETOXING AS A WAY OF LIFE
Detoxing is something that should be in your routine, and it will be a whole lot easier for you if you place it in your diary and prepare yourself mentally before it comes around. Once you have made the intention you are set and good to go. Just lock it in and go for it!
